Shown above is the heavy brass US Mail box in the Grand Lobby that held the mail sent down the chute from each of the 18 floors. It is marked with the MAYO name & is located just inside the foyer near the small mini museum that presently holds framed vintage Tulsa photos exhibit that are for sale.

This is a series of photographs -- taken in mid-September 2002 -- of the Interior of The Mayo under construction, showing renovation and reconstruction work in progress, as well as new construction.

Please bear in mind that this is an on-going and continuing process -- a slice in time -- to show the efforts and progress of craftsmen and artisans applying their skills to "bring back to life" this magnificent piece of Tulsa history -- The world-famous Mayo Hotel.
