While not technically a Mayo Hotel cover, this is a historic First Air Mail flight cover from Dallas, TX to Chicago, IL via Tulsa, OK postmarked 6 July 1928. The 10 cent Lindbergh Air Mail stamp is on the face. The rate for Air Mail was set at 5 cents for the first ounce and 10 cents per additional ounce. The first Air Mail flight carried one bag of mail, strapped into the front seat.
