The making of Walter Wanger's classic movie "TULSA" starring Susan Hayward, Robert Preston, Pedro Armendariz, and Chill Wills was a big event in Tulsa history. There was a large parade and a lot of celebration on April 13, 1949, the date the movie premiered in the city. The stars came out and the city turned out to see them.
This album has several sections, featuring movie stills, the parade, and some of the artifacts and personal photographs of the event. Tori Snyder, Mayo Building Manager schedules events and can be contacted directly at mayohotel@sbcglobal.net or 918- 582 MAYO (6296)
